Valerie Gnide Traore - Executive Director

Valerie has served as International Campaigner for Action Aid International, Panafrican Program Manager at ACORD, Communication and Campaigns Officer at Oxfam America and Country Specialist at Amnesty International USA. She has developed and implemented successful campaigns throughout Africa and has trained activists and organizations on campaigning in Africa, Latin America and Asia.

Valerie has a Bachelor's degree in International Relation, Communication and English from the University of Indianapolis and a post graduate degree in Diplomacy and Political Strategies from the Center for Diplomacy and Strategies of Paris.

Abdou-Salam Thiam - Campaigner

Coming from Kaolack, Senegal, Abdou-Salam has a Postgraduate Degree in Journalism and Communication at Institut Supérieur des Sciences de l'Information et de la Communication (ISSIC), option development communication. Before he comes to Niyel, Abdou Salam has a lot of work experiences; one he has done at the Communication department of the coalition Jubbenti Senegal during the 2007 Senegalese presidential elections. He also participated in the implementation of the 2008 HungerFree campaign (Kaa Konko Kélé) of Actionaid International in Senegal.

Fatou Sarr - Administrative Assistant

Fatou has a High Technical Degree in Personal Assistance at SUPTECH and a graphic designer Certificate at ISMEC.

Stephanie Nyamwathi Gichau - Campaigner

Stephanie has worked in the field of Advertising in East-Africa for nearly 6 years being responsible for Concept Development and Production of multiple Corporate Campaigns. She brings to the NIYEL team her Copywriting, Campaign and Brand Strategy Implementation and Creative Direction experience and skills.
Stephanie has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Philosophy from the United States International University Africa.

Narcisse N'ZI - Campaigner

Narcisse N'ZI graduated from the University of Cocodi in Abidjan, in Criminology and Communication and from CESAG in Dakar where he got his DESS in Marketing and Strategy. His interest in social issues urges him to participate in the intensive training session in Social Marketing and in the big humanitarian issues at Senghor University in Alexandrie. In addition to his long experience in the field of market studies and researches, Narcisse got a rich experience in associative life and activism.

Aimé - Responsable Administrative and finance officer

Aimé began his career as an auditor in charge of study and projects in accounting firms in Côte d'Ivoire, before ending up in Dakar as Chief Financial Officer Regional Office for Africa in the Femmes Africa Solidariteacute; (FAS) with headquarters based in Geneva, Switzerland. In this capacity, he participated in the preparation and conduct of several projects across Africa, mainly in countries in armed conflict or post-crisis forces such as Burundi, Liberia, Côte d'Ivoire, DR Congo, Rwanda, Sierra Leone and Sudan. Aimé joined the NIYEL team to contribute to its growth momentum and enhance its services in the areas of Development, Policy and Culture.

Olivier - Campaigner

Olivier has worked at the communications agency Neurones in Dakar as a project manager. He participated in developing the social marketing strategy for the promotion of "Consommer local" Economic Growth Project of USAID. He also undertook missions for PSI Guinea, FAO, Embassy of France and APIX S.A. Olivier holds a Masters in Marketing and Business Intelligence, Option social marketing at the Institut Africain de Management (IAM) in Dakar.
